How It Works
What is a packshot?
A packshot is a product photograph taken on a white or neutral background, focused on accurately showing the product. Packshots are the standard input image for Bryft - the AI uses the packshot to generate all lifestyle imagery and video content.
How does AI product photography work?
Bryft uses diffusion models and computer vision to generate photorealistic lifestyle scenes around a product. The process works in three stages: the product is first segmented from the background with pixel-level accuracy; the AI then generates a contextually relevant scene; and finally the product is composited into the scene with accurate lighting and shadow. The result looks like a professionally staged photograph.
How does AI try-on work?
AI try-on uses generative models to realistically place a garment or accessory on a synthetic AI model. Bryft can show a product on models of different body types, sizes, and ethnicities - without a photo shoot. This helps brands show fit and scale more accurately, which reduces return rates.
How long does it take to generate images?
Individual images are typically generated within seconds to a few minutes depending on the style. Batch processing for large catalogues produces hundreds of images per hour.
Shoppable Content
What is a shoppable video?
A shoppable video is an interactive video with clickable product tags embedded in the footage. When a viewer clicks or taps a tagged product, they are taken directly to its product page or checkout - without leaving the video experience. Bryft generates shoppable videos automatically from packshot images.
What is a shoppable photo?
A shoppable photo is a product image with interactive hotspots that link directly to product pages or purchase flows. Multiple products can be tagged in a single image, turning it into a mini-storefront that viewers can shop from directly.

Does Bryft work with Shopify?
Yes. Bryft is available as a Shopify app. Once installed, your product catalogue syncs automatically. You can generate images and videos for any product and publish them back to Shopify listings without leaving the Shopify admin.
Can AI-generated images be used on Amazon and Google Shopping?
Yes. White-background packshot outputs from Bryft meet Amazon and Google Shopping main image requirements. Lifestyle images can be used as secondary images on Amazon and in supplemental image fields on Google Shopping. Bryft generates outputs at the resolution required by major marketplaces.
What is UGC and how does Bryft relate to it?
UGC (User-Generated Content) is content created by customers or fans rather than the brand. Bryft creates AI-generated visual content that achieves the authentic, contextual look of great UGC - at scale and without requiring customer-submitted content. Bryft also supports workflows where genuine UGC is made shoppable or enhanced for ad use.
